GE Renewable Energy and GE Power (now jointly GE Vernova) generate a quarter of the world's electricity.
I was asked to support the development of new UX flows and website components for an existing Renewable Energy website. When that project was completed, I was asked to lead the design of a new GE Power website.
The design incorporates high-resolution imagery of GE technology set against images of the outcomes of its innovation: power to every corner of the globe, from developing countries to the world's biggest cities. GE Inspira, the company's custom font, meets a series of gently sloping line patterns inspired by wind tunnel airflow and turbine blades, all punctuated by a meticulously-crafted series of blue and teal gradients.
The site includes filterable accordions with nested product information, an interactive calculator and other web apps, complex tables, a flexible form system, multiple mega menus, dozens of reusable components, and an unobtrusive floating and auto-minimizing navbar.
When the company was rebranded to GE Vernova, my website design was preserved in a new green color scheme.
